Introducing Plan to Achieve Self-Support (PASS)

A PASS is a plan for your future. Many people with disabilities want to work, and you may be one of them. Perhaps you need to go back to school before you can get a job, need to pay for items or support to succeed at your new job or maybe you’d like to start your own business. Whatever your work goal may be, a PASS can help you reach it.

A PASS is an SSI work incentive that lets you use your own income or assets to help you reach your work goal. A plan is meant to help you get items, services, or skills you need to reach your goals.

People receiving Disability Insurance Benefits (DIB) or Childhood Disability Benefits (CDB) can also use a PASS if they meet all other requirements for SSI. DIB and CDB are referred to in the remaining sections as Title 2.
